Knowing if an extended car warranty call is a scam or not is crucial, given how prevalent these type of scam calls are. According to data from Hiya, a call performance management cloud, car warranty scams were the top phone scam in the U.S. through mid-October and currently account for more than 60 percent of all scam calls made to Americans. Hiya says this could be due to scammers doubling down on calls as more Americans focus on protecting their vehicles during a time when car prices are high.
