Nancy Wyman is stepping down as state Democratic chair

Wyman Says She Won't Run For CT Governor In 2018 | WAMC

Former Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman announced Friday she is stepping down on June 10 as the Democratic state chair, a position she took at the request of Gov. Ned Lamont after his election in 2018. She will swap jobs with Nancy DiNardo, a former state chair and current member of the Democratic National Committee.

I had the opportunity to experience her legendary compassion when she came to Trude Mero’s funeral at our church. While I was grieving and also trying to assist in making sure details were being handled, she comforted me and gave me some good advice. I appreciated her compassion and thoughtfulness. She has since returned to Faith Church and spoken on a number of occasions. What are our politicians going to do without being able to come to churches and talk to people face to face? What are people going to do when they want to know who our politicians are, and to ask them questions face to face? Only time will tell, I guess.
