On Thursday, 9/10/20, the New York Times published an article which is essential viewing for all of us. Faces of Power is an article with photo arrays which shows, in graphic form, that of the 922 most powerful people in the USA, only 180 of them are people of color. You can look to see which of them are African American /black, which are members of other groups. The article says, “The most powerful people in the United States pass our laws, control Hollywood’s studios and head the most prestigious universities. They own pro sports teams and determine who goes to jail and who goes to war.” The article looks at the current presidential administration, the Supreme Court, sports team owners, members of the Senate and the House of Representatives, university presidents, the military and others.
