Her, to be precise. When The Associated Press released a picture of the five from the event, Ms. Nakate had been cropped out. ”
An image released this week showed Australian Olympians and Paralympians in sponsored outfits, but did not feature any athletes of color. WNBA player Liz Cambage later said the photo had been “whitewashed”. Defying stigma and stereotype, Bayard Rustin was an openly gay man who served as an integral part of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
