No more free covid vaccines

The Biden administration last week outlined what will change after it ends the national emergency declarations to combat the pandemic on May 11

Many privately insured Americans, for instance, will continue to pay nothing out of pocket, according to the administration’s fact sheet. Children will still be able to get vaccines at no cost through a Vaccines for Children program.

Coronavirus vaccines have been added to the list of routine immunizations recommended by the CDC for children, adolescents, and adults.

In a notable shift, Medicare beneficiaries will no longer be eligible for free at-home coronavirus tests.
